A Vice-Admiral (E) was a commissioned rank in the British Royal Navy Engineering Branch first established in 1905. It replaced the earlier rank of Engineer Vice-Admiral. [1]

History

This rank was introduced in 1905 replacing the earlier rank of Engineer Vice-Admiral. It ranks above Rear-Admiral (E).[2] The rank was abolished in 1956.
