the USS Blue Ridge (LCC-19) in 2012 is the Amphibious Command Ship of the United States Seventh Fleet

An Amphibious Command Ship (LCC) is a large, special-purpose ship, originally designed to command large amphibious invasions. However, as amphibious invasions have become unlikely, they are now used as general command ships, and serve as floating headquarters for the various combatant commands. Currently the United States Navy is the only navy that has these type of ship and are assigned to the 6th Fleet and 7th Fleet as flagships.
