The 6th Destroyer Flotilla also known as the Sixth Destroyer Flotilla was a naval formation of the Royal Navy from 1912 to 1950,[1] and again from 1947 to 1950.

History

The flotilla was formed in 1912 and disbanded in 1940.[2] In October 1947 it was part of the Home Fleet until December 1950. Its first commander was Captain Mortimer Silver and its final commander was Captain W. Kaye Edden. In January 1951 it was re-designated 6th Destroyer Squadron.
