The 20th Destroyer Flotilla also known as the Twentieth Destroyer Flotilla was a naval formation of the Royal Navy from 1918 to 1919 then from 1935 to 1936 and again from 1939 to 1940.[1][2]

History

The flotilla was first formed in during World War One in March, 1918 and was assigned as part of the East Coast Forces until February 1919.[3] In March 1919 it was assigned to the Grand Fleet.[4] In May 1919 it was allocated to the Home Fleet until July 1919 when it was disbanded.[5] The second formation occurred in August, 1935 when it was assigned to the Home Fleet until July, 1936, when it was disbanded. It reformed for the third time in July, 1939 again as part of the Home Fleet until September, 1940 when it was disbanded.[6]
